This policy explains what information Jonathan Ontiveros for City Council 2026 collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect

We only collect information you type into a form on this site. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not track you across other websites.

• Joining the campaign list: your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and ZIP code.
• Volunteering: your name, email address, phone number, home address, and when you are available.
• Offering to host a house party: your name, email address, phone number, the address of the gathering, a proposed date, and how many people you expect.
• Requesting a yard sign: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and whether you own or rent the property.
• RSVPing to an event: your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and how many people are coming with you.

We ask for a home address only where it is needed to do the thing you asked for. We cannot deliver a yard sign without an address, and we cannot match a volunteer to a nearby neighborhood without knowing roughly where they live.

Why we collect it

To contact you about the campaign, to follow up on what you signed up for, and to organize volunteers, events, and sign deliveries. That is the whole list.

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored in a private spreadsheet hosted by Google, accessible only to campaign staff and volunteers who need it. Google processes this data on our behalf and its own privacy terms apply to that storage.

Text messages and phone calls

If you give us your phone number, you are consenting to receive campaign messages, which may be automated, at that number. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can stop at any time by replying STOP to any text, or by emailing us at the address below. Consent to receive messages is never a condition of donating.

Donations

Donations are not processed on this site. The Donate buttons send you to ActBlue, a separate organization with its own privacy policy and terms. Any payment information you enter goes to ActBlue, not to us. We receive the contribution and the donor details that campaign finance law requires us to keep.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not rent, trade, or share your list with other campaigns or committees.
• We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site.
• We do not send you anything unrelated to this campaign.

We may share information with vendors who work for the campaign, such as an email or texting provider, and only so they can perform that work. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and event listings and form submissions are handled by Google, so those requests reach Google servers when you use the site.

Getting your information removed

Email us and ask. We will remove you from the campaign list and delete the information we hold about you, except anything we are legally required to retain, such as donation records. You do not need to give a reason.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
